Security
An important service to all exhibitors is the guard service provided by NAB on a 24-hour basis from move-in through
move-out. Every reasonable precaution will be taken to protect property. However, neither NAB, its Official Contractors,
nor the facility managers are responsible for your property in the event of theft, accident, vandalism or other causes. This
general perimeter security is primarily for the purpose of badge and parcel checking. Perimeter security will be available
24-hours a day. Exhibitors who will be working late are encouraged not to work alone. If an item is stolen from your
booth, please report the incident to one of NAB’s contracted security offices, or the Exhibit Management Offices
immediately. If you report the incident to the Exhibit Management Office, they will direct a representative from the
appropriate security company to your booth. Copies of all theft reports are delivered to LVCC Security and LV Police.
Security Offices
The contracted security offices will be located in the following halls.
Booth Security
Because various personnel require access to the exhibit hall, it is not possible to provide guaranteed security regardless of
the number of guard posts. Exhibitors are responsible for the security of their displays and personnel at all times. To
facilitate this, we recommend private booth security. Due to the large number of security personnel required, we have
provided four preferred vendor options. To assure availability, please order all your security services in advance.
DO NOT leave your booth unattended, particularly during move-in and move-out. Also, take inventory of your products
during these times. Keep small portable products out of sight, under lock or take them with you when you leave the
exhibit hall. Security cages will be available from Freeman. All four contracted security companies provide FREE secure
storage for hand carried items. Please Note: Armed guards are prohibited at the LVCC and the Las Vegas Hilton.
Special Event Security
Exhibitors who are conducting a before or after hours attendee or press function in their booth, must complete a Special
Event Request Form (Located in the NAB forms section) to obtain Special Event Passes. In addition the Exhibitor must
hire booth security for the event. Security required is based on the size of booth and type of event. As a guide, it is
normally 1 officer per 25 attendees. To assure availability and lower costs, please order in advance all security services.
Secure Storage
Secure storage will be made available at both convention facilities free of charge for overnight secure storage. Secure
Storage is for hand carried items only. This service must be arranged onsite each night at the each security offices listed
above. The same individual with Exhibitor badge and Photo ID that dropped the item(s) off must pick up the item(s).
Equipment Passes
It is NAB's policy to prohibit the removal of any equipment or materials (other than attendees carrying personal
belongings) from the exhibit floor at any time without first obtaining an Equipment Pass. This policy will be strictly
enforced at all times and exists for your protection and product security. Exhibitors who will be removing equipment from
the hall must first stop by one of the Exhibit Management Offices to obtain an Equipment Pass. Prior to removing
merchandise from the floor they must provide an Equipment Pass, a photo ID and an Official Exhibitor Show Badge. Exhibitor Wristbands will not suffice to remove items from the floor.
